Man's theories of the beginning of the universe
Probability examples of the universe coming into existence with God -- impossible
Children look through telescope, weather permitting (pic show if not)
 
Saturday Morning - Part 1 - Design of Animals
Design requires a Designer
Instincts as a God Design for animals
Concentrated studies of design in kangaroo, artic tern, honeybee, butterfly
(uses videos, posters, books)
God provided for all His creatures in special ways
Design seen in eggs
(hands-on activity showing egg strength, shell and membrane)
 
Saturday Morning - Part 2 - Human Design
People as God's highest creation
Design of the human body
(using thumbprints, puppets, stethoscopes, microscopes)
 
Saturday Afternoon - Part 1 - Evolution
Small changes occur in everything
Contrast small changes with theory of organic evolution (macro-evolution)
Show no direct evidence for the theory, instead show
God designed things to allow small change and prevent large change
Cavemen - contrast between real cavemen (people who live in caves)
and depictions of cave-apes portrayed as half human in books
 
Saturday Afternoon, Part 2 - Fossils
What fossils are, what they tell, what they don't
Observations using real fossils
Hypotheses (guesses) about what the bones come from
Reconstruct creatures from paper "fossils"
Make models of some fossils using clay and plaster
 
Saturday Afternoon - Part 3 - Dinosaurs
Evidence that dinosaurs existed
Ideas about when they lived and why they died
